Sowing Seeds and Planting Starts

This week we actually put some seeds and plants in the ground. John Gifford staked out a number of rows ahead of today. It made the planting process easy to complete. And we've got a great variety of seeds and plants that we hope will provide an abundant harvest throughout the summer and into autumn.

The following items were planted:

In The Beginning There Were Weeds

There were lots and lots of weeds and some dirt and a group of people willing to work with it. We started at 8:00 AM digging up the weeds and removing them. Between the big helpers and the little helpers, we had fun working together. When our plot of land was cleared, it looked great! John Gifford and Brad Horrocks brought tillers and we took turns tilling the ground. All in all, we were there for less than two hours and we accomplished so much. Next week will be a lot of fun too! We encourage everyone to come on out and help with the garden. We hope to see you again!
